Christmas Around the World

We have been researching how Christmas is celebrated around the world.  We chose countries that we were interested in and produced some posters and Google Presentations to share our learning.

Enterprise Showcase

Recently at EPS we had an Enterprise Showcase to show what we have learnt and done during our Inquiry this year. Room 16 have worked hard to plan and create a butterfly house to protect monarch caterpillars from predators and encourage monarch butterflies to our school. Here are the results:

Our LEARNZ field trip

This term we are taking a virtual field trip to Rakiura otherwise known as Stewart Island.  We will be learning about The Great Walk on Stewart Island and how they are working to save the Kiwi.

Before we start our learning we had a discussion about what we already know about Stewart Island and our National Parks, and what we want to find out.

Day 3 NZ Maths Week

Today we looked at attributes of shapes.  

We learnt about faces, vertices (corners) and edges of 3D shapes.  We know how to describe a 3D shape using geometry terms.

We also practised counting in te reo Māori.
